Ian's Bounce Beyond role

One of Ian specialisations is in what is often thought of as Futures Thinking but is really about what we do today to bring ourselves from our current world to an envisioned and aspirational future.

As a founder of H3Uni, Ian has worked with the Three Horizons approach since its origination. This, linked with insights into what it is that makes a Horizon Two entity one that has the potential to catalyse the transformation needed in its field of action, is at the heart of the work that Ian leads. As well as Three Horizons, Ian is skilled in other forms of futures work including strategic thinking using multiple scenarios.

Ian brings critical thinking in seeing organisations as living organic systems that can adapt and evolve with their environment and uses this to help inform strategy for transformation that leads to meaningful action. This work can be done online in interactive sessions.

Ian helps Bounce Beyond CoNECTs with facilitation of the generation of a shared view of the needed transformation of their field of action. This starts with defining their Horizon One. Then defining the Third Horizon – their aspirational future. Then their Second Horizon – the transformational journey between Horizons One and Three, whilst exploring that all three horizons are present, all the time.
